Description

The MPT 8M Tape Measure (MHE01006-8M) is built for jobs where a short tape isn’t enough, such as room layouts, floor plans, framing, roofing, fencing and site measurements. Its 8-meter (26ft) blade covers long distances in one pull, which saves time and cuts down the errors that come from measuring in sections.

The housing combines a new ABS+PVC rubber cover. The rigid ABS shell protects the larger internal spring and mechanism, and the PVC rubber over-mold absorbs the impact of drops on concrete, scaffolding and job-site floors. The rubber also gives a soft, non-slip grip, which matters on a long tape that’s heavier to hold.

The blade has accurate metric (cm/mm) and British (inch/feet) scale markings. You can read both units directly, whether you’re working from local plans in meters or imported specs in feet and inches.

Locking is handled by a manual lock switch with a triple brake system. A longer blade puts more pull on the lock, and the triple brake holds firmly at any length so the blade won’t creep back while you mark, cut or record. Readings stay steady even on long runs.
