Description
The MPT Digital Caliper (MHE03003) makes precision measuring fast and simple. Its clear digital screen shows the reading instantly, so there’s no vernier scale to interpret. That cuts down reading errors and saves time, especially for beginners, during repetitive measuring and in poorly lit spaces.
The body is made from stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion through the material itself and suits humid, oily or demanding work environments. The finely polished surface gives a smooth, steady slide and a clean finish that’s easy to wipe down. Measurements are accurate to 0.05mm on a metric scale.
It measures four ways:
- Outer diameter: the large lower jaws measure the outside of bolts, pipes, rods, shafts and stock
- Inner diameter: the small upper jaws measure inside holes, bores, tubes and bearings
- Depth: the depth rod at the end of the beam measures holes, slots and recesses
- Step: the step faces at the end of the jaws measure the height difference between surfaces
The 150mm (6″) range covers most everyday jobs: automotive and motorcycle parts, fasteners, machining, 3D printing, woodworking, jewelry, electronics and general maintenance.
It comes in a BMC hard carrying case with a color sleeve. The case protects the caliper’s jaws, beam and electronics from drops, dust and moisture during storage and transport, which helps it keep its accuracy over time.
