Description

The MPT MIG2005 gives you two of the most useful welding processes in one affordable, easy-to-carry machine.

MIG mode (20–200A): MIG welding feeds wire continuously through the torch, so you can lay long, smooth, consistent beads quickly and with very little cleanup. It’s the easiest process for beginners and the fastest for production work, ideal for sheet metal, car body repair, steel furniture, gates, grills, frames, trailers and general fabrication. The wide 20–200A range covers thin panels through to medium-thickness steel.

MMA / stick mode (20–160A): switch to stick welding when you need strength and flexibility: outdoors, in windy conditions, or on rusty, painted or dirty metal where MIG struggles. It’s good for repairs, maintenance and structural jobs on site.

Inverter technology gives a stable arc, smooth wire feeding and consistent bead quality in a compact, lightweight body that uses less power than old transformer welders. A 60% rated duty cycle allows longer welding before the machine needs to cool down, and the 61V max no-load voltage gives easy, reliable arc starts.

Efficient on household power: with a rated input capacity of 8.2 kVA, the MIG2005 runs comfortably on standard 220V single-phase outlets in homes, garages and small workshops.
