Description
The MPT MTP2012 is a 1650W benchtop thickness planer for planing rough, uneven, or reclaimed lumber down to a precise, consistent thickness with a smooth finish. You set the depth and feed the board through. The powered rollers carry it under the high-speed cutterhead, and it comes out flat and uniform from end to end. That’s very hard to achieve with a handheld planer. The cutterhead spins at 8,500 rpm, so each pass leaves a clean, smooth surface that’s ready for sanding, finishing, or joinery. The 12″ (304 mm) planing width handles wide boards and panels, including tabletops, shelving, cabinet doors, and furniture parts. It can also bring a batch of boards to exactly the same thickness for a professional fit. It’s sized for the workbench, so it fits in small shops and can be moved to a jobsite. It suits carpenters, furniture and cabinet makers, joiners, woodworking hobbyists, and anyone who recycles or mills their own lumber.
