Description
The MPT MRU1205 is a heavy-duty 1800W plunge router for woodworking jobs that need power and precision. It cuts grooves, dados, and rebates, shapes and profiles edges, rounds and chamfers corners, cuts mortises and recesses, trims flush, and makes decorative cuts in solid wood, plywood, MDF, and particleboard. The motor spins at 23,000 rpm, so it cuts cleanly and smoothly even with large-diameter bits and in hardwood. A ½” collet takes heavy-duty router bits, which have thicker shanks and run with less vibration and deflection. The plunge base adjusts from 0 to 55 mm, so you can set the cutting depth precisely and start cuts in the middle of a panel. A straight guide and a trimmer guide help you make accurate parallel cuts and follow edges. External carbon brushes are easy to replace without opening the housing. It suits cabinet and furniture makers, carpenters, joiners, sign makers, and woodworking shops.
