MPT Machinist Hammer MHD02002-300

Description

The MPT Machinist Hammer (MHD02002-300) is a compact, precise hammer for mechanics, fabricators and maintenance technicians. The head is drop-forged from #45 carbon steel, which gives it a dense, solid structure that holds up to repeated impact. It is then heat-treated to harden the striking face against chipping and deformation. A black painted finish protects the head from rust and corrosion in the workshop.

The head has a flat striking face for driving punches, chisels, pins and keys. The opposite end is a pein for starting small nails, shaping and straightening sheet metal, and working in tight spots.

The double-layer fiberglass handle absorbs much of the vibration from each blow, which means less hand and wrist fatigue during long jobs. Unlike wood, fiberglass won’t swell, shrink, crack or rot when exposed to moisture, oil or heat, so the head stays secure over time.

At 300g, this is the lightest size in MPT’s machinist hammer range. It gives good control for light-to-medium work such as automotive repair, machine assembly, fitting, electrical and plumbing jobs, and hobby metalwork. Heavier jobs are covered by the 500g, 800g and 1000g sizes.

Each hammer comes with a flag sticker in an OPP bag, ready for retail display.
